Plant Nurseries

 

Corazón del Bosque runs two nurseries:

 

1 Tree nursery: This has the production capacity to grow 210,000 plants of various tree species that eventually are distributed to association and community members for reforestation projects.  They also are channeled to benefit the municipalities of Nahualá, Nueva Santa Catarina Ixtahuacán, Santa Lucía Utatlán, San José Chacayá and part of Totonicapán. This nursery is managed by the Association Vivamos Mejor and the Association Guadalupana.

 

2 General nursery: Here flowers, fruit trees and ornamental plants are grown for local use and are also up for sale.
